Characteristics of an oil-immersed transformer
1.Low voltage winding generally adopts copper foil winding axis except for small capacity; high voltage winding adopts multi-layer cylinder structure to balance the winding distribution, small magnetic leakage, high mechanical strength and strong short circuit resistance.
2. The core and the winding each adopt fastening measures. The fastening parts of the height and the low pressure lead are equipped with self-locking anti-loosening nuts, and the non-lifting structure is adopted, which can withstand the shock of transportation.
3. The coil and the iron core are vacuum-dried, and the transformer oil adopts the vacuum oil filtration and oil injection process to minimize the moisture inside the transformer.
4. The oil tank uses corrugated plate, which has the breathing function to compensate for the oil volume change caused by the temperature change, so the product does not have an oil storage tank, which obviously reduces the height of the transformer.
5. Because the corrugated sheet replaces the oil storage tank, the transformer oil is isolated from the outside world, which effectively prevents the entry of oxygen and water and leads to the decline of insulation performance.
6. According to the above five-point performance, it ensures that the oil-immersed transformer does not need to change the oil in the normal operation, which greatly reduces the maintenance cost of the transformer and extends the service life of the transformer.
Application of oil-immersed transformer
According to the number of windings, it can be divided into double-winding transformer and three-winding transformer.Usually the transformers are double-winding transformers, that is, there are two windings on the core, one for the original winding, and one for the secondary winding.The three-winding transformer is a transformer with a large capacity (above 5,600 kVA), which is used to connect three different voltage transmission lines.In special cases, there are also transformers with more windings applied.
According to the structure form, it can be divided into iron core transformer and iron shell transformer.If the winding is wrapped around the core, if the core is wrapped around the winding is the shell transformer.The two are only slightly different in structure, with no essential difference in principle.Power transformers are all iron-core type.
